Fashion Palette
Fashion Palette brought the celebs and the Aussie designers out this season to New York Fashion Week. At NY’s Pier 59 studios, six Australian brands debuted their 2020 Spring collections to an always packed house. Let’s break it, down shall we?
TORANNCE
A brand focused on glam girl looks and quality. Designed using quality materials, sustainable linens and ethically sourced leather. From pale pink and polka dots to yellow and silver the brand really had something for everyone. Australian designer Julia Torannce Hemingway added beauty and feminine touches through billowed and ruffled sleeves.
SONYA SWIM
What a treat that Fashion Palette’s founder and Creative Director, Sonya Mefaddi took her place among the designers this season with her label Sonya Swim. The swim and resort line featured glamorous silk linen and embroidered cotton. Inspired by the French Riviera, this is the lines debut collection.
Portia & Scarlett
Bring on the beauty! Beauty Pageants that is! Acting CEO Vicki Chami and Head Designer Danielle Makhlouf unveiled their Pageant Collection this season. The very royal label glistened and shined up and down the runway featuring jewel-encrusted tiaras along with immaculately beaded gowns. The label that started just seven years ago can now be found in over 100 retailers around the world.
House of Campbell
Fashion and Innovation thoughtfully brought together for those living their life with “Confidence and not comparison”. We love the inclusive vision by Creative Director Abby Potter who learned foundations of her craft at her mothers sewing machine. This season was set with floral and burgundy pieces shown in romantic separates.
Made with Love Bridal
Designer Carla Jenkins brings us her family company, Made with Love Bridal. A luxury bridal line focused on quality and an affordable price point. Created in 2013, its main office can be found in London, but its brand reach includes flagship Boutiques in London, Sydney, Adelaide, Gold Coast and Melbourne along with 140 Bridal stockists worldwide.
DEA the Label
Julian Ferro describes DEA the label and its vision, “we believe that plus-sized women shouldn't think of themselves as a size. They should think of themselves as women with rich goals in life. Size doesn't mean, really, anything. You can carry your size with pride and dress in a way that you like for an outfit is a weapon to help all women of all shapes and sizes obtain goals and dreams or simply blow-away a room with your presence.” Julian designs to make every woman feel and live her best life.
