Alice + Olivia

Once upon a runway in 2002 there was a smart gal named Stacey Bendet.  Stacey had a vision to make pants “great again” and she did! Stacey and her founding partner presented “Just pants” a 20-piece collection that helped women make pants their number one focus of choosing an ensemble.  Well, Stacey took that pants project and turned it into what we know to be a global brand called Alice + Olivia.  We are totally sure you have heard of it but incase you have been under a rock the brand now encompasses gowns, shoes, ready-to-wear, handbags, tech accessories and a collaboration line of eye wear with New York and Company. 

This season the detailed thinker we know Stacey to be didn’t disappoint and neither did the crowd turn out.  To experience an Alice + Olivia presentation is to be very familiar with a packed crowd just as excited as you are to get a glimpse for what the brand is dreaming your season to look like. To be completely fair presentation doesn’t effectively describe it this is a full out production featuring sets, color blocking, and a beautiful edge that can appeal to many.

Part of the beautiful edge we refer to came by way of a collaboration with street wear designer EV Bravado on a custom spray-paint denim look.  Some didn’t know how to digest it with the rest of her set flow but at TRA we are here for it!  There’s not much Stacey didn’t touch on in this collection all the ready-to-wear staples we needed with the color we love her for! So much like in every “Once upon a time story” this too, has a happy ending. You may now go shop!
