Afffair

A flower doesn’t think about competing with the flower next to it. It just blooms.  While Designer Rufat Ismayil goes into each season laser focused in his vision how fitting that this presentation pays homage to the rare orchid, The Kahri Bulbul that grows exclusively in his home country of Azerbaijan.  Afffair is indeed blooming right before our eyes! The light air of spring sprung on the runway with a sea of purple, off-white, lilac, mint, pink and tangerine accessorized head to toe in crystals with feathers.  Per usual the collection of statement pieces included the intricate details that we have come to expect from Rufat’s stellar designs.  Embroidery, embellished mesh, organza, silk were all featured and set a perfect tone for those to imagine walking through Azerbaijan to experience the rare Kahri Bulbul orchid up close.    

Fresh faced models gave stylists something to seriously consider for this years red carpet season.  Afffair does well with creating options for floor length gowns up to sexy mini cocktail dresses and considering Afffair already has an A-list of celebrity fans such as Jennifer Lopez, Ashanti, Lil Kim ad Beyoncé it won’t take much for others to welcome the opportunity of wearing the label.

Along with producing consistently great collections Rufat also collaborates with    Talented creatives in the industry to bring each piece to life.  This season, make up matching each look was provided by Andrea Sigrist of Makeup Beauty Academy. Matching pastel nails featuring a pressed flower by the nail team of Yuki Naomi.  Featured accessories and shoes by Melisa Errol for Afffair and hair by Aubrey Loots of Wells global stylist.
