Son Jung Wan

Korea born designer Son Jung Wan has shown us that she does the decades well. After a successful disco collection in 2017, Son Jung Wan takes us on on a journey through the booming 50’s for her upcoming AW 2020 collection.

What would a day in LA & NY look like shopping amongst the great Elizabeth Taylor, Sammy Davis Jr., Audrey Hepburn, Sydney Poitier and Lena Horne? It would look like Son Jung Wan’s collection! “The Golden years” as the 1950’s were proclaimed to be are back via Son Jung Wan’s presentation of bold colors and structured pieces in both traditional silhouettes but also a few exaggerated cuts as well. Tones of green, blue, bronze and bling completed the collection giving honor to the celeb filled glitz of the decade.

In our pre-show interview Son Jung Wan explained through nervous jitters that this collection brought her much excitement. Her passion of being inspired by such a culturally rich time in history showed effortlessly, at least from where we sat. The Son Jun g Wan woman, whom we are sure never gets disappointed has yet another closet worthy group of must haves at their picking!
