Namilia

Living up to their now expected reputation of making sure that their audience has a great story to tell after the show, Namilia has raised the bar once again. Presenting their current season lineup in an atmosphere of red, that seemed a bit sinister, but befitting once the first model started down the runway. Taking an ever so slight jab at that tiny country in the middle of Rome, their designs made statements that both questioned authority and traditions. From the black angel outfits to the clearly over the top ensembles patterned after the costumes worn by mystics that populate that aforementioned tiny country.

Platform boots and 9 foot high headpieces. Wings that look appropriately sized for a human and accoutrements that would be at home on any all night raver. Leather, mesh, belts and straps and all with a purpose. Oh and let me not forget to mention the soundtrack... Let’s just say that it’s not for the faint of heart, but why would you be at a Namilia show if you have a faint heart? Lastly, Namilia enlisted the help of two of the most recognizable people in the pop-culture world, to open and close their show. I could not think of better way to open and close the door of heaven or hell. In Namilia’s name, we pray, Awomen.
