Cushnie F/W 2019
Pure mood at this season’s runway show giving onlookers all the feminine feels you need during New York Fashion week. “As a woman, I understand what my customer wants from her clothes. I’ve grown and evolved alongside her over the past 10 years, and I strive to present her with timeless silhouettes that make her feel sexy, sophisticated and powerful — all at once.” CEO and Creative Director Carly Cushnie explains the mission behind her namesake label.
All the hues you can handle from the Parson’s graduate graced the stage held at Spring Studios as a part of New York Fashion week:The Shows. Models ripped the runway to a backdrop of deep amber which deemed a perfect visual for the mix of blues, blacks, pinks and burgundy colors represented in this season’s collection from the ready to wear label. Just as inclusive and diverse as Cushnie’s fabric choices and so are her model selections along with clientele. Michelle Obama, Jennifer Lopez, Ashley Graham, Padma Lakshmi and Khloé Kardashian to name a few. That list directly mirroring her models, all races and all sizes.
11 years later the label stands strong to its belief of empowering women and celebrating diversity all while keeping quality, tailoring and fluidity through out each collection. It’s nice when you don’t have to be a “particular woman” to wear a brand that idea went out the window with Cushnie as she represents all women.
