Supima Design Competition

Could it be? Is it even possible? We think it just happened…..one of our top favorite shows was pulled off by one of our indutries top fashion designer? Au contraire friends, in fact, it was slayed by the up and coming fashion talent featured within the Supima Design Competition circuit.  The elite cotton manufacturer Supima hosted a black runway for its annual fashion week showcase of fresh talent and they did not disappoint. This runway season kicking off its 12 year celebration appearance.

 This season’s offerings are absolutely beautiful. The Competition platform gives the next generation of designers an international platform and a chance to win a $10,000 cash prize.  Bibhu Mohapatra served as designer mentor for the 5th year. In the end Beijing born Designer Gina Guo came out on top as this year’s winner! Her collection this season aspired to tell a story of sustainability through the eyes of nature and the environment.
