Energized vendors will be on hand to offer you some of the coolest African-inspired fashion, books, prints, and art. Taking place during the fall New York Fashion Week, the Ankara Bazaar will be 3 days of exhibiting and highlighting African and Afrocentric-inspired excellence and creativity.
Friday, Sept 16th night is an intimate networking event curated for blogs, bloggers, photographers, and fashion industry professionals. The showcase will feature select designers at a private loft in Chelsea. *Stay tuned for updates about participating designers and models. There are ONLY 75 SEATS available for this showcase. Saturday, Sept 17th will be a literal bazaar in a renovated former warehouse in Dumbo. The bazaar will feature over 20 vendors unique in style and detail, mostly African inspired but each offering their own take on fashion, style, and design through an African/Afrocentric lens.
Sunday, Sept 18th's Wear Your Ankara day-long Brunch party will feature dope DJs, irresistible drink specials, and an opportunity to show off different Ankara-inspired fashion styles. Everyone is encouraged to dress in an Afrocentric theme. The music will certainly be African inspired, and the dance party will go until 10pm.
