Sienna Li 2019 A/W NYFW Collection
Words go here….
The Jane Hotel…what a dramatic setting perfect for the drama of this season’s Sienna Li runway show at New York Fashion Week. The collection entitled “Polarity” inspired by the industrial shift of the 20th century and many women joined the workforce. Polarity is the state of having two opposite or contradictory tendencies, opinions or aspects. The perfect name for her inspired balance of mixing femininity and men clothing styles. Suit jackets (some oversized), suit pants, lots of lace and shoulder silhouettes with great character.
As a Full-time New Yorker, Sienna Li makes her fashion hub home within the garment district. Everything offered is produced locally within New York by talented and experienced seamstresses. Along with local pattern makers. She has both ready to wear options as well services custom-made couture clientele. The fashion maven is also a very smart cookie having graduated with both a bachelor’s degree in Chinese literature and a master’s degree in English literature from the UK. This all pre-fashion career as she then attended Parson’s the New School of Design and trained in Central St Martins. Her desire for the education and gaining alternate perspectives of the fashion industry gives this designer the dual title of artist as well. We are looking forward to what she will curate in the following seasons.
