Son Jung Wan
What is there to say about designer Son Jung Wan. She has been one of my most influential industry people in the fashion business every since I came on the scene. This past season was one of my all time favorites and she rocked it out as usual.
Wan's collection opened with a blue & black checkered patterned mid-drift jacket, off set in the front but draped to floor length in the back. Covered with a carolina blue fur over coat covering the top half of the body with full length sleeves. The black & blue pattern made its way nicely down the runway for the first six outfits and was sprinkled very well throughout the entire collection, but the excellent use of colorful fur really made the difference.
Brown fur, black fur, blue fur .....Fur on the sleeves , fur on the pant legs and fur on the collars. Fur all over the place and it was as beautiful as ever.
Wan also featured full patterned suits for the guys and amazing cocktail dresses for the ladies that garnered all the attention from the "ready to wear" crowd in the standing room only venue. Blue satin dresses, full length one piece jumpers and diagonally stripped asymmetrical fur jackets also made stunning appearances on the runway. Everything was very well put together and amazingly stunning .
After closing the set with soft white fabrics along with a touch of silver and gray, Son Jung Wan made me feel like I needed to run out and buy at least one of everything. It was very impressive and definitely a must see. Don't miss this show ladies and gentlemen!!!!!
