Fleur De Paris 2017 New Orleans Fashion Week Collection
As a visitor of one of the most historic cities in the world, one of the things that rarely came across my mind was high end fashion. But let me tell you , Tracee Dundas (Founder of New Orleans Fashion Week) has quickly changed my mind. Although it was the seventh year of top notch shows in "The Big Easy", it was my first time in the pits with my southern shooters. And they quickly showed me what New Orleans fashion had to offer.
One of the first displays on the runway came from a downtown boutique by the name of Fleur De Paris. They definitely set the standard for the rest of the participant. First of all they started with outstanding Kentucky Derby type hats that flaunted feathers in such a stylish format. Stunning form fitted dresses that showcased "off the shoulder" styles, round shoulder to shoulder length cuts and of course the plunging neck line.
FDP also displayed many options of garments to choose from including a black knee length cocktail dress with patterns of transparency down the middle and a fit that would make anybody stop and pay attention. Also an outstanding form fitted white, full length dress that covers everything from neck to toe including long sleeves. This look was complimented by a neck full of astonishing gold jewelry that shimmered in the bright lights as the models strutted the runway.
Red dresses , capes and corset type ensembles also occupied the runway and the display of beauty never subsided. Good job Fleur De Paris and Tracee Dundas, Im already getting my lodging ready for season 8 of high fashion in "The Crescent City".
