Taoray Wang 2017 NYFW Collection
One of the best collections of the year and definitely one of my favorites came from designer Taoray Wang. I've been following her for some time now and always look forward to covering her show during New York Fashion Week. Stepping into the venue even before the show started I knew what was in store for me. I knew to gather myself for a fantastic show and of course she didnt disappoint.
The color palette for this 2017 collection consisted of primary darks with just a splash of color, not much at all. Some Fuscha coloring peaking out from sleeves , a small portion showing on the piping of several garments and a dark splash of purples mixed in nicely to bring everything together.
Starting the show off with a one piece black pea-coat, single breasted that covered all the way down to the mid portion of the thigh put everyone on notice that this show was about to be classy with nice addition of sexiness which should cove all aspects of a woman's day. And the knee high black boots didnt hurt at all. Pea Coats with thigh high boots seem to make their way through the collection often but the accessory that made it pop was the seemingly transparent sleepwear under the coat that brought a certain anticipation to the entire piece.
Knee length jackets, full length coats and even professional attire like a charcoal colored pants suit garnered high attraction as it pranced down the runway. Nicely fitted cocktail dresses , a stunning purple blazer with matching boots also stunned the crowed and the show never fizzled.
