The Demoo Parkmanchoo Runway Show, was an excellent exhibition of how to make neutral colors “pop”. OK, I first have to admit that I do a very good Darth Vader impression by wearing an awful lot a black throughout the year, so I am biased. As the saying goes; you sometimes have to sacrifice comfort for style... But I digress… The mixing of the different shapes and fabrics, with accents of white and often other opposing colors, was masterful. Her layering choices, wether it be the layering under a vest or the layering under an overcoat, showed the audience that she is an expert in understanding how different articles of clothing complement each other. One other thing: Like the subtle taste of salt in chocolate, Demoo adds a subtle traditional Asian accent to some of her clothing. Its there, but you can’t really place your finger on it. A great recipe combined with great styling, created an overall great clothing line.
