Spanish fashion brand Desigual brought to the 2017 Spring Summer New York Fashion Week session, a line of clothing that would make any snowboarder or ice fishermen jealous at choosing a past time that didn't include a beach and/or flip-flops. Some say the fall and winter seasons afford a designer the most leeway, when it comes to being able to show off their range. Well, that theory must now be thrown out, because the range of clothing that the models wore on the runway, exceeded most other designer's winter, summer, spring and fall lines, combined. We were shown everything from the beach bikini, in a rainbow colors, to the distressed jean jacket and pants outfit. Flower print skirts and dresses, to matching tie dye tops and bottoms. Both traditional and contemporary, Afghan type knitted dresses, in some very interesting colors and patterns that are rarely seen in that type of clothing. Lots of sundresses that would literally cause a stir at any brunch setting. (Pun intended.) But again, to show their range, there were a few articles that straddled the line of semi-formal and casual. On top of that, the amount of accessories for each outfit was staggering. Countless purses, hats, belts, scarves and jackets helped to take an already complete clothing line, to another level. It's really hard to imagine having to look anywhere other than Desigual when wanting a one stop shop for women's summerwear. Sorry cross-country skier and outdoor hockey player, you're going to have to wait until February to see what Desigual has in store for you.
