What things outside of fashion, inspire your clothing?
My clothing is inspired by music, culture, travel, nature, people and architecture.
When selecting your fabric range, do you think about the end-of-life-stage, such as the implications of disposal?
No, unfortunately where am from we dont have too much variety also people rarely dispose of their clothing choosing to pass it on instead.
What was it like seeing your clothing on the runway the first time?
It was exciting though i only got to enjoy the moment after the show since fashion shows are fast and chaotic with little time to reflect and enjoy.
Do you prefer ready-to-wear or concept when it comes to your runway shows?
I prefer ready to wear since I like to see how people interpret my collections.
What drives your work ethic to become a better designer?
Research and improving on quality and always keeping up with whats happening around the world of fashion.
Rules are meant to be broken, which are your favorite fashion rules to break?
Never wear prints with checks or stripes, less is more, men cant wear pink on peach or polka dots, dark skinned people cant wear dark colours
What skills according to you are necessary for a successful fashion designer?
Most important is the interest, creativity, technical skills even if you may not use some of them as much as well as a good taste.
How do you stay up to date regarding fashion?
I try to follow the international fashion industry both online and in the media as well as keep my eyes on the streets to see what people are wearing.
